And there it was… a full 144.24 miles away from where it should be. At first I thought I must have typed in the name wrong, but after repeated checking it turns out someone has actually moved Islamabad from its original location from the foothills of the Margallas to somewhere near 169-F Millat Town in Faisalabad.
It is actually a nice location if nobody knows about it considering the bomb blasts that seem to happen every few weeks now. Unfortunately this also means that Faisalabad is now the nearest populated town and since Islamabad barely has any structure to be destroyed or population to be killed, Faisalabad is the new target for suicide bombings.
That being said, I still want Islamabad back to its original location. Its much more nicer up there. Google??? Somebody???
And that’s not all, later I went to check up on the Google Maps as I wanted to see if any more roads had been added or not. Lo and behold… even Google Maps was showing Islamabad next to Faisalabad. Very interesting!!!
So is this the next wave of terrorism we face today? Our cities moved around in Google! I’ll wait and see how long this keeps up. Would be very interesting to see how long it takes before someone who can actually fix these things picks it up.
